Current Team

Dr. Shen is Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of Massachusetts Lowell. He earned his B.S. from Zhejiang University in 2008, his M.Ed. from East China Normal University in 2008, and his Ph.D. from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015. He completed his postdoctoral training at Nationwide Children's Hospital/Ohio State University from 2015 to 2020.

Dr. Shen has published over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts, almost all focusing on various levels (primary, secondary, and tertiary) of pediatric injury prevention. His current research program focuses on theory-driven and technology-assisted interventions to reduce the injury risks and promote post-injury cognitive rehabilitation among children and adolescents both in the United States and globally. Dr. Shen has served as Principal Investigator on grants worth $1 million. His research has been funded by the NIH, HRSA, as well as other regional agencies.
